Escaping the island was just the beginning. The darkness that started this adventure is far from done with you. Whether you want it or not, the curse continues. Today, Prime Matter and PLAION are excited to announce that the free DLC for their third-person horror game, The Chant, is out now. The DLC, titled “The Gloom Below”, invites players to step back into the darkness of the game once again, this time advancing lore, introducing new weapons, and more. A press release delves into more dark details about the DLC. Additionally, a launch trailer gives players a glimpse of the evil that awaits them in the game.Â
The Chant invites players to a remote island controlled by a cult. After a ritual chant goes sideways players are left to fend off the denizens of a nightmare realm known as the Gloom. Interestingly, the game allows players to upgrade various attributes of their body, mind, and spirit, to resist the insanity caused by interacting with the Gloom. Of course, players also have access to a variety of weapons and abilities to fend off the creatures that arise out of the Gloom.Â
Of course, The Gloom Below is bringing a host of new content to the game. For instance, players can expect additional lore, upgraded abilities, new weapons, and some new enemies. The Chant is currently available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Of course, The Gloom Below is available now.Â
