The Denizens of the Tamarak Trail
Prepare to embark on a journey of puzzles, dice, and importantly, monsters. When it comes to the monsters, it’s especially important to understand what you are going up against. Luckily, now you can take a look at just what you’re going to face out there. Today, Yarrow Games and Versus Evil are happy to announce that players can now check out a new bestiary blog post for their game, Tamarak Trail. The post allows players to see some of the Canadian-inspired monsters that await them in the game. Of course, a press release discusses the bestiary and the game itself.Â
Tamarak Trail places players in the shoes of a member of the Sturgeon Lodge. This secret society is dealing with the mysteries that surround a decaying and dying Earth. Importantly, as a member of this society players will work towards solving this mystery. However, it is important to note that player choices matter in this dice-based roguelike. And the first choice players make is between three distinct classes that change the playstyle of their game. These classes are The Magician, The Tracker, or The Detective. Interestingly, each of these classes comes with its own distinct abilities, playstyle, and narrative choices.Â
Of course, players will be running into many monsters on their journey. These monsters will initiate turn-based dice combat. Tamarak Trail is releasing later in 2023 on PC. Currently, the game is available to wish list on Steam. Additionally, a demo is available for download for free.Â
