Skater XL Kickflipping to Switch in December

Grab Your Board

Just cause winter is coming doesn’t mean you can’t hit the skate park. At least, virtually, that is. So grab your board and get ready to shred with the pros. Today, Easy Day Studios is happy to announce that their skating simulator, Skater XL, is coming to the Nintendo Switch on December 5th. The game allows players to live out their skater fantasies in one of the most responsive skating games to date. A press release delves into more info on the several years of development behind the game, as well as features of the game itself. Additionally, a release date trailer shows off some of the wicked skating players can look forward to seeing in-game.

Skater XL invites players to an open sandbox to skate, film, and hang out with friends. Importantly, the game provides physics-based skating that is easy to pick up but hard to master. Of course, with the capability for multiplayer sessions, players are able to develop their own skate sandbox and invite their friends. Excitingly, the game features full mod support and players will instantly have access to a library of curated mods from thousands of dedicated creators. Additionally, players will be able to play as renowned skateboarding pros like Tiago Lemos, Brandon Westgate, Evan Smith, and Tom Asta. Furthermore, these pro skaters all come with their own, accurate, gear.

Of course, gamers can get a look at the game in the new trailer. Check out the trailer below.

Skater XL is releasing to the Nintendo Switch on December 5th. Currently, pre-orders are available here.
