Baldur’s Gate 3 Scores the Highest Rating and Gets Past Zelda
According to Metacritic Reports, Baldur’s Gate 3 has been the best-reviewed game of 2023. The game has earned a score of 97 out of 100. This score is based on 14 Metacritic reviews. This is a meagre critic score compared to Zelda’s Score, which is 96 and is based on 145 reviews. This is because many outlets still need to give RPG a final score. As a result, the Metacritic Score could either stay intact or can fall as well.
Currently included in the list of top 25 games with the highest rating, Baldur’s Gate III shares its score with 18 other games. This milestone has also been celebrated on Twitter by the game makers. The next RPG game to be released is Starfield which is yet to be tested in terms of the Metascore.
Some games have even scored better than Baldur’s Gate 3, including SoulCalibur, which has a Metacritic score of 98 and Grand Theft Auto IV, which has also obtained the same Metascore. Despite scoring less than these games, Baldur’s Gate III is the second-largest release this year.
As per Steam DB reports, the game was released last Thursday on Steam, where the simultaneous count of players was 4,27,000. This score was being beaten at the weekend when over 8,00,000 players were playing the game concurrently.
