Palia, Cozy Sim MMO, Is Launching a Closed Beta In August

Bringing Folks Together

What makes an MMO is often the sense of community the game manages to build. Of course, the type of content in the game will foster the type of community that grows around it. Luckily a cozy sim MMO game is looking to bring a sense of teamwork and camaraderie. Today, Singularity 6 is happy to announce that their highly anticipated cozy sim MMO, Palia, is launching into closed beta on August 2nd. Following an Alpha, which attracted over 600,000 test sign-ups, the game is already extremely popular with inviting gameplay that blends genres. Of course, a press release provides more details on the game. Additionally, the release also gives insights from Aidan Karabaich, Co-Founder and Game Director at Singularity 6.

Palia

Palia invites players to a world that combines the ideals of cozy, community-building, sims, and adventure MMOs. Importantly, players will engage in farming, building their own houses, crafting, and more. However, they will also have the ability to engage in quests, adventure, and the progression and social systems of a traditional MMO.

“We designed Palia to challenge genre conventions and bring people together in a cozy MMO where they can forge new friendships,” Says Karabaich in a press release, “We’ve worked hard to create an experience that feels like a relaxing home away from home, and we view our Beta phase as the next step in a continuous journey.”

Of course, the closed beta for Palia is beginning on August 2nd. Sing-ups are currently available on the game’s website. Interestingly, players that sign-up now may be able to participate in the Stress-Test scheduled for July 25th. Furthermore, players interested in the game can show up to Palia’s YouTube channel on July 18th at 10 A.M PT for a gameplay first look.
