Sometimes, when you are a successful product like Overwatch 2, you need to take from other games to elevate your own game. No shame in that. Nearly every shooter has a horde mode or a something inspired by another game. Today, OW2 launched its limited time event Mischief and Magic.
Mischief and Magic is a prop hunt style game mode. You know the drill. There are hunters and there are props. Only in the terms of Overwatch, there are Knights and Rogues. Alchemist Mei has been burgled by Rogue Kiriko. She has stolen artifacts that can change her form into objects. The Royal Guard Genji must hunt down the Rogue.
Two teams of five compete for three victories and switch roles after every round. The Rogues are transformed into a randomly selected objects and hide. Knights will have their melee attack, Swift Strike skill, and their Ultimate if it gets charged.

As a Rogue, you may find the perfect hiding spot, but if you stay still for too long, you will let out a whistle. If a Knight rolls up on you, you might think it’s all over. However, you can stun them and use that opportunity to make a run for it.
Rewards for this event include new voice lines for Roadhog and Junker Queen, as well as a Epic skin for Ana. This even will run from now until August 9th.
Overwatch 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
