Star Wars KOTOR 2 – The Sith Lords DLC Cancelled on Switch

The Deal Has Been Altered

There is some sad news on the Nintendo Switch for Star Wars fans. Asypr has been on a crusade to revive the Star Wars KOTOR games. There have been some snags along the way. The latest one is especially disappointing, as they have announced the restored content coming to The Sith Lords has been cancelled on the Switch.

About a year ago, Star Wars KOTOR 2 – The Sith Lords was released on Nintendo Switch with a game-breaking bug. Fortunately, that has been fixed, but apparently the restored content cannot be restored. Part of the draw of the remaster of this game was that there would be content in it that was not in the original.

Aspyr did not go into details about why it could not be done, but quickly acted to appease disappointed customers. Anyone who bought Star Wars KOTOR 2 – The Sith Lords BEFORE the announcement was made is eligible for a free copy from a selection of other Star Wars games.

Customers can submit a request with proof of purchase of The Sith Lords. The free Nintendo Switch keys are for KOTOR, The Force Unleashed, Republic Commando, Episode I Racer, Jedi Knight – Jedi Academy, or Jedi Knight II – Jedi Outcast. You can also request a Steam key for The Sith Lords, which also does not contain the restored content.
