Cell Door Games have confirmed that its recent release, Rogue Legacy 2, will hit PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on June 20th. The game is currently available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam. Furthermore, players that purchase the game on PlayStation platforms upon its release will have access to the latest content updates. This latest content update includes the final major update, Swang Song, which released in April along with other content.

To celebrate the announcement, the developers released a trailer showing off the game for PlayStation platforms. In the trailer, viewers get a great look at some of the content and action for the game. Also, besides the Swang Song update, players will have access to three new special game modes, three new fabled weapons and a new boss encounter.

Additionally, there are approximately fifteen classes to play, each with their own distinct style of play and allowing for customization to cater to each player. The developers made it their mission to put some flair to the classic metroidvania franchise with heirlooms and special items that reveal the world secrets and more. Also, players will enjoy the New Game+, as there is a whole new world to explore once the final boss is defeated. Thus, while the game gets harder, players can find new hazards and special boss fights. Rogue Legacy offers new levels of replayability with more traits, more spells, more classes, more biomes and more everything.
