The Callisto Protocol Riot Mode Launches Next Week

What About Peaceful Protest Mode?

Say what you will about The Callisto Protocol. It may not have met everybody’s expectations, but the development team is still releasing new stuff for it. The super difficult mode and Dismemberment mode might not have deviated from the Dead Space experience enough. However, something that Dead Space doesn’t have is Riot Mode.

Striking Distance Studios released a short teaser for Riot Mode. If you didn’t know what it was before, you still won’t after watching the video. However, the Season Pass does provide a much better description for what is in store for players.

The Callisto Protocol

This is what the Season Pass says about the Riot Bundle on Steam: “Venture into a previously undiscovered area of Black Iron Prison and battle through waves of brutal enemies. Gather credits to upgrade your weapons, unlock unique finishing moves, and survive the onslaught in the all-new Riot Mode. The Riot Bundle also includes eleven new enemy death animations and The Prospector Skin Collection.”

In familiar gamer terms, it is The Callisto Protocol version of Horde Mode. From the sounds of it, there will be a ton of stuff to unlock in Riot Mode. You will fight through waves of increasingly difficult enemies for credits. It does not explicitly say, but hopefully some of these unlocks can be used in the base game, like death animations and skins.

The Callisto Protocol is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Riot Mode and the Riot Bundle will be available on May 23rd.
