Street Fighter 6 Open Beta Announced By Capcom

Take to the Street, Fighter

Are your knuckles itching? Itching for a fight? A STREET fight? Well, take your aggression out on digital characters when the open beta for Street Fighter 6 is live. Capcom announced a surprise beta starting next weekend, not long before the full release.

Last month, Capcom released a demo for Street Fighter 6. It was released early on PlayStation, but became available on Xbox and PC a few days later. The demo was pretty limited and didn’t make use of any online PvP features. The open beta will make use of most of the base game features, but obviously will not its full capabilities.

Starting on May 19th, you can play the open beta. It uses cross-play, online match “Fight Request” functions, as well as Classic and Modern control schemes. The roster will also be expanded a bit. Beta players can use Luke, Jamie, Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Kimberly, Juri, and Ken, and can play on six different stages.

Capcom also says the following gameplay features will be available: “Character Creation (Only possible to create once), Ranked Matches, Casual Matches, Battle Hub Matches, Open Tournaments, Training Mode, Hub Goods Shop, Extreme Battles (Updates daily), Game Center (Updates daily), Challenges (Updates daily), DJ Booth, Photo Spot“.

If you have been on the fence about this game, this might be your last chance to be won over. Street Fighter 6 will be coming out on June 2nd for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
