Gearbox Publishing Has Delayed Homeworld 3 Until Early 2024

Gearbox Publishing, the company responsible for Remnant II and Have a Nice Death, has partnered with Blackbird Interactive to release Homeworld 3. The third installment in the title promises more content, features and fun. Unfortunately, the companies have announced that the game will be delayed from early 2023 to February, 2024. The game will release on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Via its official Twitter, the company explained the reason for the delay. In the release, it stated, “Our primary goal is to deliver a Homeworld experience that lives up to the standards set by its predecessors and is worthy of this series’ incredible legacy. Homeworld 3 is shaping up to be exactly that, but in order to fully realize that vision we need more time to refine and polish the game. We deeply appreciate your passion and dedication to this game, and we are working hard to get Homeworld 3 to you as soon as we can.”

Furthermore, in the game, players head to space to take control of a fleet and uncover mysteries. Moreover, a darkness has taken over Karan S’Jet’s galaxy, and as a result, she must fight for her people’s freedom and peace. However, Karan never returned from her mission and her successor, Imogen S’Jet is the new anointed savior, who holds the keys to resolve the mystery threatening the universe. Recently, fans have preferred delays to early releases with buggy titles and unoptimized games.
