Studio Wildcard Announces That ARK II Will Be Delayed Into 2024
Studio Wildcard is an American video game developer that released Ark: Survival Evolved in 2017. Since then, the company has released a ton of content for the game and has also been working on a sequel behind the scenes. However, today, the company has announced that the release of the game’s sequel, ARK II, will be delayed until the end of 2024. It will be available on PC via Steam, Xbox Game Pass and Xbox platforms.
Via an official statement, the company stated, “We’ve put much thought into delaying ARK II for the betterment of the final product and the team’s well-being. This news will be disappointing to many—we feel it too—but we’re confident this heavy decision is the right one.”
Furthermore, the developers went on to explain the cause of the delay. They stated that their goal is to provide the best game possible and that Unreal Engine 5 is new technology that requires significant work and effort. Therefore, the developers require more time to perfect the game and work on with new systems and workflows. Moreover, the developers plan to provide a fantastic and novel experience in ARK II, with major design changes as well as revolutionary cross-platform modding.
Studio Wildcard has a lot on their hands for the release of ARK II. Fans can remain hopeful that the game has a smooth and good launch.
