Prepare for BattleÂ
Japan is the latest location to turn into a warzone. It’s time to ready yourself soldier. Stick with your squad, grab a new weapon, and take on a whole new battlefront. Today, Â Publisher Wishlist Games and Developer The Farm 51 are happy to announce the release of the latest update for their tactical shooter, World War 3. The update, titled Operation Sunstorm, is bringing a whole host of new content. Set in Japan, the update is providing players with new maps, weapons, and more. Importantly, a press release provides more details about the update. Furthermore, a gameplay overview trailer gives players a glimpse of all of the new action.Â
Operation Sunstorm places players directly in the heart of Japan. Battles will shake up the devastated streets of Tokyo, transporting players to a new battlefield that expands the growing list of warzones in World War 3. Of course, the gameplay will revolve around the team-based skirmishes the game is known for. Importantly, teams must use, not only soldiers, but vehicles, drones, and ordinance to win battles and change the tide in their favor.Â
Importantly, players can look forward to using new weaponry like the Type 89 assault rifle, the QBZ-191 assault rifle, in battle across two new maps Tokyo and Shibuya. Furthermore, players can enter combat in a brand new game mode: FUBAR. Unlike the massive 40vs40 battles of World War 3’s other game modes, FUBAR is focused on infantry skirmishes. Specifically, this 20vs20 game mode is offering a more intimate battle with limited vehicles and six bleeding control points. Check out Operation Sunstorm in the new gameplay overview trailer.Â
The Operation Sunstorm update is available today for World War 3. The game is currently available for free on Steam. More information is available on the game’s website.Â
