The Wolf Among Us 2: A Telltale Series Has Unfortunately Been DelayedÂ
Telltale Games is a video game company with a story to tell. The company has told various stories since its inception including Batman: The Telltale Series, Puzzle Agent and The Wolf Among Us. The company has been working on The Wolf Among Us 2 for some time. Unfortunately, today, Telltale Games announced that they have made the difficult decision to delay the game’s release ‘out of 2023’. The game will release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC via Epic Games Store.
Via its official Twitter, Telltale stated, “We know, it’s frustrating to hear. We started work on this in 2020 and we’re still determined to tell the ongoing story of Bigby and the rest of the Fabletown Gang. However, it is going to require more time. As disappointed as you hearing this, we feel worse having to say it.” In the statement, the team concluded that it will continue to work and appreciates the community’s patience and understanding.
Furthermore, James Ottilie, Telltale Games CEO, stated that a major consideration in delaying the game was the issue of crunch. He explained that he worked under difficult positions before and found it to be unfair. He further explained that he did not want to burn out his staff. Moreover, the issue of crunch has been at the forefront of the video game industry for some time.
