The battleground is changing once again. This time, the conquest map takes on a more Mayan influence heralding the arrival of the battleground’s newest Goddess. Today, Hirez Studios id happy to announce the launch of Smite’s newest seasonal update: Season of Hope. Of course, the new seasonal update is bringing with it massive changes to game, and a whole host of new content. A press release provides more details on the Season of Hope. The Season of Hope is bringing massive changes to Smite. Primarily, the very nature of healing and lifestyle in the game has been changed. The “brawling” debuff to global healing has been removed, and lifesteal and ability healing has been scaled down. Of course, this means hundreds and hundreds of balance changes are arriving with the season to Gods, items, and abilities. As a result, five new items have been created to offer more build variety. Furthermore, players can look forward to a whole host of new skins including a new Aphrodite tier 5 skin to go along with her buffs.Â
Of course, the new season will also be bringing Smite’s newest Goddess, Ix Chel. A new Mayan Goddess that will be ushering in the age of hope. Importantly, players can get a look at Ix Chel and the new season in the cinematic trailer for the update.Â
