Prepare to sneak, skulk, and deal with both sides of your being. It’s almost time to reclaim the precious. Today, Daedalic Entertainment and NACON are excited to announce their highly anticipated adventure game, Lord of the Rings: Gollum. Releasing May 25th, the game is based on the world of J.R.R Tolkien’s beloved Lord of the Rings Trilogy, the game allows players to step into the divided being of Gollum/Smeagol himself. Lord of the Rings: Gollum places players in the slinking feet of the titular character. Before the War of the Ring, players will embark on a journey across Middle Earth looking to reclaim the precious Ring of Sauron. Of course, Gollum is no warrior. Players will need to climb, leap, and sneak past dangers, striking from the shadows when advantageous. However, Gollum is also a being torn. It will be up to players to decide whether they want to give into the darkness of Gollum or fight to stay in Smeagol’s light.
Importantly, fans can look forward to checking out more of the game today. At 06:30 pm CET today, Daedalic and Nacon will be live streaming a gameplay showcase, on Twitch, that gives fans a better look at what they can expect. Additionally, players can check out the story elements of the game in the new trailer.
Lord of the Rings: Gollum is releasing to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox on May 25th. A Nintendo Switch version of the game is being planned for a later date. So, are you ready to re-enter Middle Earth.
