Sons of the Forest Pivots To Early Access Release In Late February
Sons of the Forest is an upcoming survival game by Endnight Games. The game, since its announcement, has had a rocky history, with multiple delays to its release date. Today, Endnight Games has announced that on February 28th, the game will release into early access rather than a full release as planned. Thus, players will get their hands on the game, but not the full experience just yet.
Via its press release, the company stated, “It’s been a long journey since we first started Sons of The Forest development and it’s grown into the biggest most complex game we have ever made. There is still so much more we want to add; items, new mechanics, gameplay balance, and more. We didn’t want to delay again so have instead decided to involve the community in the continued development of this project and keep our February 23 release date but instead release in Early Access.”Â
Furthermore, in closing, Endnight Games thanked the fans for their continued support, feedback and suggestions and looks forward to the future. In the game, players head to a remote island to find a missing billionaire. While in the hellscape, players must be prepared to craft, build and fight to survive. Moreover, the game offers various elements of horror and great co-op gameplay to enjoy with friends.
