Amnesia: The Bunker Set to Terrify in May

Horror Stalks the Bunker 

It’s time to descend into the darkness once more. Face your deepest fears during World War I, in a bunker. Yet, the war is the least of your problems. You aren’t alone in there. Today Frictional Games, the studio behind SOMA and previous iterations of Amnesia, are happy to reveal the release date for their upcoming horror game Amnesia: The Bunker. Releasing on May 16th, this installment of the Amnesia franchise is aiming to change the very rules of horror games. A press release talks more about the details of the game. Additionally, players can check out the announcement trailer from last year for their first look at the game. 

Amnesia: The Bunker places players in the boots of a French soldier during WWI. Awakening in a very dark bunker, players will struggle with their amnesia as they explore. With only a revolver, and an incredibly loud flashlight players will need to navigate the darkness of the bunker. Importantly, players will need to be quick on their feet, making moment-to-moment choices that can mean the difference between life and death. Of course, players aren’t alone in the bunker. In fact, throughout the game you will be hunted by an otherworldly creature.

With only one bullet left in your gun, the game will test your cleverness, courage, resolve, and your sanity. Every corridor brings more darkness. You’re the only one alive. Try and keep it that way. Check out the announcement trailer below for a sneak peek at the game. 

Amnesia: The Bunker will be releasing on May 16th, 2023. It will be available on PC via Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation. So, prepare for the darkness of the bunker.
