Against the Storm Finishes Its “Rainpunk” Makeover

A Rainier kind of Punk

The storms won’t stop. So you’ll just need to adapt to them. Of course, there are more ways than one to see this through. Today Eremite Games and Hooded Horse are happy to announce the second half of the “Rainpunk” update for their fantasy city builder, Against the Storm are now live. Importantly this update brings the second half of the mechanics that the previous patch  introduced. A press release discusses some of the new things coming with the patch.  Furthermore, players can check out the release trailer from a few months ago for a better look at the game.

Against the Storm

Against the Storm places players in control of a shining city amidst a world of darkness and raging storms. Importantly, players will need to build their settlements to withstand the storms. Construct and level up new buildings, explore, defend yourself, and discover secrets. Of course, distinct biomes exist around your settlement. They can be useful. Yet, you need to tame the wilds outside your settlement.

The introduction of the new Rainpunk system allowed players to harness the storms for good. Of course, the system allowed players access to a new resource in the form of rainwater. Now, players can look forward to even more. For instance, new glade events, forest mysteries, and cornerstones. Additionally, until February 9th, players can vote on the next species to be introduced to the game.

Against the Storm is available now on Steam Early Access. Currently the game costs $19.99. So, are you ready to face off against the storms?
