Smite’s Latest Trailer Gives Some Insight Into Surtr, The Fire GiantÂ
Hi-Rez Studios and Titan Forge Games released their MOBA, Smite, at the peak of the genre’s popularity in 2016. Since then, the team has poured content into the title and they have now unveiled a trailer for Surtr, the Fire Giant. The game is available for free today on PC, PlayStation and Xbox platforms. In the trailer, viewers get a look at the Fire Giant.
The trailer shows off Surtr rising from the ground surrounded by other Gods. It is clear however that he is ready for a fight and won’t be going down easy. Surtr, who has Nordic background, is designed in similar fashion to Viking Gods. Thus far, there has been very little details on his skills and abilities, however they will surely be based around the fire element.
In Smite, players will take to the battleground of Gods alongside millions of other players. Furthermore, players must choose between a variety of Gods, each with their own skills and abilities ranging from Loki’s assassination from the shadows to lightening by Zeus to Sun Wukong, the Monkey King. Moreover, Smite has always stood out from its competitors as it gives players a third person perspective of the battle, rather than a top-down view. This allows for new strategic possibilities, a more fluid gameplay flow and a lot of fun.
