Massive Monster and Devolver Digital had one of the hottest games of the summer. With the brilliant Twitch integration for Cult of the Lamb, it was a huge both on and off the streaming platform. Not long after its launch, the developer Massive Monster said they would like to release free content for the game. Now, it looks like they are making good on that statement.
Yesterday, as a send off to 2022, Massive Monster gave us a little teaser about what cultists can expect. The short video shows off several additions, which you might miss if you blink. Thankfully, they made a thread of exactly what is in the teaser.
Cult of the Lamb will be getting a Heavy Attack. This is unleashed by pressing and holding the attack button. Each weapon has a different variation of Heavy Attack as well. The sword lets out an AOE smash, the dagger summons several attacks from above, and the axe is thrown like a boomerang, returning to the Lamb wherever they are.

This free content update will also be adding smaller quality of life improvements, accessibility options, as well as new diffiCULTy options. Get it? You can have that one for free, Massive Monster.
Cult of the Lamb is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. There is currently no release date for this free content update. Cult of the Lamb is currently on sale on Steam.
