Cyberpunk 2077 Will Supposedly Get a GOTY Edition

For Which Year Exactly?

Despite its legendarily disastrous launch, Cyberpunk 2077 has made its way to the point where it’s a very good game. It may have lost almost all of its momentum, but those who play it now really seem to enjoy it. Next year, CD Projekt RED is hoping to serve up some DLC as well.

Phantom Liberty is the only expansion planned for this game. After that comes out, it seems that CDPR will be releasing a GOTY edition of Cyberpunk 2077. At least, that’s the plan.

Adam Kicinski, CEO of CDPR, said that the GOTY edition would follow the same format as it did with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. “It’s the natural order of things – it was the same with The Witcher, which after both expansions was finally released as a Game of the Year Edition and has been on the market that way ever since. The same can be expected in this case.”

If there is any more DLC after Phantom Liberty, that would no doubt be included in Cyberpunk 2077 GOTY edition. Only time will tell if there will be though. Bold move calling it a Game of the Year too.

With Phantom Liberty not being developed for PS4 and Xbox One, you can bet you won’t see the GOTY edition on either of those platforms. Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. There is currently no release window available for the DLC or the Game of the Year edition.
