Factorio Will Officially Hit The Nintendo Switch In Late October

At Nintendo Direct, the company made various announcements including Pikmin 4, a new Zelda game and Octopath Traveller II. The company also announced that Factorio, a construction and management simulator, will be launching on the Nintendo Switch on October 28th, 2022. The developers were keeping the project as a secret and as it’s almost ready, they were ready to announce it. The game is currently available on PC via Steam.

Thankfully, fans can look forward to all of the game’s content being available and there are no artificial limits. However, there will be no mod support for the Switch community. Furthermore, multiplayer and cross-platform will be available but players must have access to Nintendo Switch Online for online play. Moreover, players will be able to save files across all platforms and can transfer saves using multiplayer.

In terms of performance, the developers have stated that they are working on optimizations and should expect 30-60FPS in TV and handheld modes. Also, after a lot of work, the team believes that the game is playable on controller although the game was developed for mouse and keyboard. Players are advised to practice on the tutorial and beginner missions.

In closing, the developers stated that they will release more details in next week’s Friday Facts. Additionally, the team is asking for assistance with translations due to Nintendo’s high standards for release. Interested fans can assist with translations here.
