Marvel’s Midnight Suns Showcases Scarlet Witch In New TrailerÂ
2K Games along with Firaxis Games and Marvel Entertainment announced Marvel’s Midnight Suns some time ago. The game is a turn-based strategy game based on the popular XCOM franchise. Today, the developers have shown off Scarlet Witch, one of Marvel’s most powerful characters, in a new trailer.
In the gameplay showcase, Christoper Odd, 2K’s NextMaker, gives fans a first look at the skills and abilities of Scarlet Witch. The Scarlet Witch utilizes chaos magic to her benefit and she relies on positioning the most. Players will utilize Wanda Maximoff for her AOE attacks and she requires more planning and strategy than most other characters on the roster. The trailer goes on to show off her move-set and how she can be used in battle.
In Marvel’s Midnight Suns, players must defend Earth using Marvel’s iconic characters as Lillith, the Mother of Demons, rises.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns has unfortunately suffered various delays. Fans were looking forward to a release in March 2022 but it was then delayed until October 2022. Earlier this month, the developers announced that the game will be delayed until 2023 as Firaxis Games required more time to perfect the title. Delays to video games after the pandemic is no surprise, as various developers required more time to work on their projects.
The game is set to release in March 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch thereafter.
