Myths of Midgard
The God of War franchise is one of PlayStation’s biggest and best. The 2018 game serves as a soft restart for the series. It abandons the arcade-style combat for a more cinematic third-person action/adventure experience. With the new game coming up on it’s November release, fans might need a refresher on the story.
Felicia Day sits us down by the fireplace to read us the story of Kratos. It skips the events of the games leading up to the 2018 God of War game. The book on those games is effectively shut. The story is illustrated in a graphic novel style with light animated sequences. It is also told with rhythm and rhyme. You know, to make it fun for the kids.
The main story is told, omitting the side quests and other objectives. We see familiar characters, like Freya, Baldur, and Mimir, who tries to take over the storytelling.
