Hogwarts Legacy May Launch Sooner Than Expected
Hogwarts Legacy is still due to release later this year. However, a new listing on Amazon UK has fans believing that the game may launch earlier than expected. Eagle-eyed fans spotted a recent update to The Art and Making of Hogwarts Legacy: Exploring the Unwritten Wizarding World artbook.
The artbook will launch on December 6th. Hogwarts Legacy fans strongly believe that this suggests the game will have the same release date as well.
“Amazon UK has the Hogwarts Legacy artbook slated for December 6, 2022,” the fan wrote on social media. “This does not confirm anything but it is possible the artbook and the game itself will release on the same day.”
It is also possible that this date is actually only a placeholder for the book. It originally had a December 31st launch, which has now changed to December 6th. This change is one of the biggest reasons why Hogwarts Legacy fans think devs updated the game’s release date as well.
Gotham Knights from Warner Bros. also has its own accompanying book. It is coming out on October 25th. This happens to be the exact same day that the game will be available to the gaming public.
Although the game’s official release date is still up in the air, the gaming community knows that it is coming out sometime later this year. PlayStation confirmed in March’s Hogwarts Legacy-specific State of Play that the game is set for a holiday 2022 launch. This window suggests the game can be out to the public around November or December of this year.
Furthermore, it has also come to light that Amazon UK is not the only storefront to have the December 6th release date. Amazon Japan also shows the same information. However, Amazon Canada and Amazon US still feature the December 31 date on their respective listings.
