The Cycle: Frontier Free To Play On Steam as Pre-Season Begins

It’s time to drop onto Fortuna III. A world where you’ll either make it big, or lose everything, even your life. Today developer Yager is happy to announce that pre-season has arrived for their FPS extraction shooter, The Cycle: Frontier. It is free on Steam and will remain free after full launch. A press release provides more info about the game itself. Additionally, a new pre-season launch trailer gives players a glimpse of the planet dropping action. 

The Cycle: Frontier places players above, and on, a beautiful and dangerous alien planet full of danger. Players arrive on the planet with the goal of getting rich. Collect what you can while you’re down there. However, there’s a catch. Only those who extract from the planet get to keep what they found. This means that you won’t just be facing off against the dangerous creatures on the planet but other desperate scavengers as well. You can go it alone or with friends, make shaky alliances with other squads or shoot first and ask questions later. 

It’s not all violence and death though. Above the planet is the space station players will make their homes: Prospect Station. On the station players can buy upgrades for gear, increase their reputation with multiple factions, and more. You’ll need the best of the best gear to survive, so raiding the planet will give you the rewards you need. 

The Cycle: Frontier is diving into its first season, and full release, on June 22nd. All progress players achieve before the start of Season 1 will not be wiped. The game is currently available for free on Steam. So, are you ready to drop to Fortuna III?
