Survival Game Valheim Heads To Xbox Platforms In Spring 2023 

Coffee Stain Publishing and developer, Iron Gate, made waves when they released Valheim into early access on PC. The companies have now announced that the game will be heading to the Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One in Spring 2023. Fans will also be able to access the Xbox versions on the Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft’s premiere subscription service. Interested fans can purchase Valheim on PC here.

To celebrate the announcement, Valheim released a short video showing off the game and the release details. The trailer gave fans an insight into the game’s world, story and endless possibilities. Developers Piktiv and Fishlabs have been assigned work on the Xbox port to ensure that players have a great product on release.

Iron Gate’s co-founder Henrik Tornqvist stated, “We’re beyond delighted to see the world of Valheim and our amazing community open up to even more people, and let our PC Vikings team up with their console shield brothers and sisters in the near future.” Albert Safstrom of Coffee Stain Publishing echoed the sentiment. He stated that he was happy with the progress made on the ports and excited for its release in 2023.

In Valheim, players will be able to explore a vast world. Additionally, the developers saw great success since the game’s release into early access as it won various awards and sold over ten million copies. The future of the game is bright and the developers will continue to release more updates.
