Today Nintendo announced that their soccer-like battle game, Mario Strikers: Battle League, is hosting a live demo ahead of the games release until June 5th. The game, releasing on June 10th, features fan-favorite Mario characters battling it out in 5-on-5 soccer action. A press release about the demo provides more information on the online action. Additionally, an overview trailer that came out earlier this month gives players a glimpse at what they can expect.Â
Mario Strikers: Battle League brings all the fun of soccer, to the battle sport genre. Players will face off as iconic Mario characters in 5vs5 battle matches. You will tackle, bash, push, and generally rough up your opponents as you try and score. Of course, a demo for the game is currently available for those players who can’t wait to get kicking.Â
The First Kick demo event gives players access to online battles. Players can join friends and take on other teams in intense battles. Additionally players will have access to training mode and pre-season friendlies. Training mode will teach players the basics like shooting and passing. Of course, the overview video gives players a better look at the features of the game.Â
The Mario Strikers: Battle League First Kick demo event is available now. Additionally the game is available for pre-order on the Nintendo E-shop for $59.99. Players who purchase the full game can also get ready for free post-launch updates including new characters.Â
