Purgatory Comes to Switch

Attention Switch players, it is time to face a hero’s death. Over, and over, and over, again. Today Third Sphere Games Studios has announced that their 2D souls-like, Watcher Chronicles, has arrived on Nintendo Switch today. A press release provides details about the game including some new features that have come with the Switch version. Furthermore, players can watch the Nintendo Switch announcement trailer from earlier in April to get a glimpse of the Switch gameplay.

Watcher Chronicles introduces players to a purgatory that’s suffering invasion from unholy threats. Players will take on the role of a hero who will need to hack-and-slash through the hordes of hell. Of course, you will need to use everything at your disposal to overcome the challenges you face. New weapons, magics, and hundreds of upgrades, will allow you to take on anything. Additionally, with over twenty bosses, you’ll need all the help you can get. So of course, you can enjoy the game in co-op with your friends.

Importantly, the Nintendo Switch version of the game features a local co-op option. Using the joy-cons two players can play couch co-op together and adventure through purgatory as a team. Additionally, players who are interested  can get a glimpse of the gameplay through the Switch announcement trailer. The trailer also gives players a look at the art style of the game.

Watcher Chronicles is available now on Nintendo Switch. Currently the game costs $19.99. So, are you ready to save purgatory?
