The Wonderful World of Slime
Monomi Park’s sequel to their cutesy, slimy, ranch “sim” will be coming out later this year. The first game had players keeping different species of slime in enclosures and managing their wellbeing. In Slime Rancher 2, players will be collecting even more slime and exploring different places.
This past week, Monomi Park has been showing off different areas that players will be visiting in Slime Rancher 2. The game appears to have at least four different biomes, though they may be holding back on us.
The four biomes we have seen are called Rainbow Island, Rainbow Fields, Ember Valley, and Starlight Strand. Rainbow Fields are the first area you encounter in the game. As the name suggests, the grasslands of this place are multicolored. Rainbow Island is more of a wetlands and has pools of water, and deposits of sand and ore.
We hope you enjoyed this week’s Slime Rancher 2 preview! The team at @monomipark is hard at work and can’t wait for you to begin exploring the world we’ve created when it launches later this year. We’re so excited for you to play it, we could just- pic.twitter.com/1ItmzukgyX

In Ember Valley, you will find different types of slime that love the heat. However, there are precarious ravines of lava and other dangers of the fiery nature to beware. Starlight Strand is home to all sorts of interesting flora. The sky always seems to be lit up by either dusk or dawn.
Slime Rancher 2 has no official release date, but we are hoping to see it by the end of this year. It will be launching on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
