PlayStation’s Astro Bot Releases As Playable Character in Fall GuysÂ
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a battle royale that took a unique and different twist to the popular genre. The game blew up rather quickly since its release in 2020, in the midst of the pandemic. Streamers and influencers loved the game and so many fans followed, by trying it out. Today, PlayStation and the game’s developers, Mediatonic, have worked together to release Astrobot as a playable character in the game. The T-Rex costume will make the Astro Bot look a tad bit cooler as players fight to survive the various obstacles in the game.
The team decided that they wanted to make a cool costume that made players feel different. The Astro Bot and T-Rex costume show off the developer’s crazy, silly, clumsy personality. In terms of making the Astro Bot for the game, after initial designs, the team had to add the finishing touches. To do so, the developers explore each angle, shapes, colors and simply pay special attention to the finer details. Following the sketch designs, the team head to rendering where they spent a lot of time polishing and refining the images.
Furthermore, along with the costume, players can enjoy a new event, Sweet Thieves. The Sweet Thieves event promises to be a ton of fun and players can look out for the Astro Bot and T-Rex costumes. The top and bottom will cost five crowns each. Additionally, there are certain rewards for completion of the event such as points.
Fall Guys is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.
