This Delay Was Forespoken
Square Enix always has a pretty full schedule of game releases at any given time. There are a lot of titles to look forward to. Luminous Productions’ Forspoken is set to release this year, but we have gone a little while without a meaningful update.
Last week, a rumor took hold that Forspoken had run into some development snags and would be delayed. Sometimes, rumors turn out to be true. Earlier today, the development team did indeed announce that the game’s release date would be pushed back several months.
There were claims that the delay would be announced at a PlayStation event, but that did not end up happening. I mean, why would you want such a damper at your hype event? The release date has been pushed from May to October. You know what that means? More time for Horizon Forbidden West and Elden Ring!

Forspoken is a beautiful-looking action RPG set in an open world environment. Frey Holland is a stranger in a new land and uses a magic bracelet to do amazing things. There are a ton of magic abilities and parkour-magic abilities that Frey can use to save Athia from the corruption of the Tantas. The team says they need to take more time to polish the game, so hopefully it will be as good at launch as it looks in the trailers.
Forspoken’s new release date is October 11th and will come out on PC and PS5.
