Don’t Starve Together Heads To Nintendo Switch In Mid April
Don’t Starve Together launched on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One over the past few years. It initially released in 2016 on Steam and is a unique game that has had various expansions and content since then. Today, Klei Entertainment has announced that the game will be heading to the Nintendo Switch on April 12th, 2022 along with other pieces of content, features and some special treats.
The developers have been working on players getting cool item skins for quite a while. They intend to allow players to share skins across participating platforms and hope that this feature can be released around the time of the Nintendo Switch launch. However, Klei Entertainment is unable to confirm if this will be available on PlayStation. Some platforms will be able to participate, however the plan is to move forward for now.
Furthermore, in terms of the process, players will have drops tied to their Klei account. Soon enough, players will be able to merge multiple platform accounts and use their items including recipes, skins and plant registry. Moreover, in terms of cross-play, it is being looked at. But, there are no solid plans just yet and a ton of work needs to be done to make it a reality.
Besides that, the company has stated that it will release further details on the upcoming features and content over the next few weeks.
In Don’t Starve Together, players fight, farm, build and explore with their friends. The world is full of unexplored areas and strange creatures!
