Spend Your Summer Cursed to Golf, Coming to PC and Consoles

Hell In One

We have another stylish and inspired game coming from Thunderful Group. Cursed to Golf mixes 2D puzzles with golfing and a touch of purgatory. In this game, players will have to golf their way out of the afterlife, but if they run out of shots, they get sucked into the great beyond.

Like most golf games, players can select their driver, adjust power and direction. However, these courses are entirely two dimensional. They focus more on verticality and obstacles than 3D golf games. Cursed to Golf also gives players an abundance of powers that can change the way the ball behaves.

Cursed to Golf

Some power-ups can freeze the ball or light it on fire, which can in turn freeze water hazards or burn up vines that can grab your ball. There are also power-ups that can help you change direction or avoid obstacles mid-shot. Along with obstacles, the courses have opportunities for players to add shots to their total. They can do this by breaking certain objects or clearing paths for shortcuts.

Cursed to Golf uses a pixel art style, capturing the classic 2D platformer feel. The soundtrack also uses electronic, synth, and chiptune music. In these ways, the art style is similar to Firegirl: Hack ‘N Splash Rescue, another game from Thunderful Group.

Cursed to Golf does not have a release date set. However, it will be coming to PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S sometime this Summer.
