Bartending… In SPACE

Have you ever wanted to serve weird space drinks to aliens? Well you can soon. Developer Foggy Box Games’ upcoming bartending simulation, Startenders, gives players the chance to mix drinks for a galaxy of peoples. A press release provides not only the release date but details on the features of the game.

Startenders

Startenders puts players in the role of a new intern at the Startenders Academy. Here you will learn a whole host of skills that you will need to use on patrons. Behind the bar you will need to shake, slice and dice, cryo, blast, and serve patrons to level up and gain new skills. Additionally you can test your skills in various game modes from the story mode to free mix. In each mode you’ll encounter alien species, experiment with crazy new cocktails, you can even compare your skills with the rest of the world in challenges.

Players get a glimpse of all of this bartending action in the Meet Startenders trailer. Additionally the trailer provides players with a look at the art style of the game.

Furthermore the mixing of drinks isn’t limited by puny earth ingredients. Instead you’re going to be mixing up cosmic cocktails with help from the most recent advancements in drink-making technology.

“We wanted each player’s Startenders experience to be unique, so we built a system that can provide endless procedurally generated shifts, with different customers and orders each time you play.” Said Chris Youles, Creative Director of Foggy Box Gamesin the press release.

Startenders is set for a March 17th, 2022 release. The game will be available on Meta Quest, Meta Quest 2 and PlayStation VR. It will cost $14.99. So, what will be your specialty?
