Ranked Play Is Finally Coming To Call of Duty Vanguard Later This Week

Call of Duty: Vanguard is the latest iteration in arguably the most popular video game franchise. The game release in September 2021 and took players back to the World War II, akin to World at War and previous iterations of the game. Call of Duty: Vanguard was criticized upon its release for its lack of Ranked Play. Many felt that other titles such as Halo and Valorant had a structured Ranked Mode upon release. However, there’s some good news for competitive players in Call of Duty. The developers have confirmed that Ranked Mode is coming to the game on February 17th.

The ranked mode will mirror the Call of Duty League’s format. Therefore, players will engage in 4v4 combat across various maps in the game. The game modes will include Hardpoint, Search and Destroy and Control. Each game mode has its own goals and requires different tactics to succeed. Teamwork is a necessity, however players can try to solo queue!

Additionally, players who succeed in Ranked Mode will receive additional benefits. These unlocked benefits can be used in both Vanguard and Call of Duty: Warzone.

The Call of Duty League, which is the game’s eSports scene, is officially ongoing. There will be matches all weekend so players can enjoy some competitive action ahead of Ranked Play.
