Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD Coming to Xbox and PlayStation

Stranger Than Fiction

Oddworld Inhabitants just won’t quit, not that we want them to. Their crusade in bringing their Oddworld titles to the modern platforms has been steady since 2014. Whether it’s a remake or an HD remaster, they are always busy in this work. Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD is once again getting a new port.

A couple of years ago, Stranger’s Wrath HD was released on Nintendo Switch. This kicked off a series of Oddworld releases on the Switch, including New ‘N’ Tasty and Munch’s Oddysee. It seems that Xbox and PlayStation are joining the club.

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD

Oddworld Inhabitants recently announced that Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath would be coming to Xbox and PlayStation. However, they did not specify if it were Xbox One and PS4 or Xbox Series X|S and PS5, or all of them. On February 1st, they held a cheeky poll asking which of three options they would like to see on “current PlayStation and Xbox consoles”. All three choices were Stranger’s Wrath HD, of course. Yesterday, they made it official that this port would be coming out next Friday.

The Oddworld games mostly focus on Abe, and Munch in Munch’s Oddysee. In this game, Stranger is the main protagonist and embarks on his own journey as a bounty hunter that gets caught up in a much larger, devious plot.

Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is available for PC, PS3, and Nintendo Switch, and will be coming to Xbox and PlayStation on February 11th.
