Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 is a Long Title, but the Wait for Info is Longer
When the Final Fantasy 7 Remake was announced, fans were extatic. The proceeding wait was a bit longer than many would have liked, but judging by the game’s exceptionally warm reception, it was worthwhile. But since the game didn’t cover all the content of the original game, many fans were left wondering when they’d see more of what they loved. The wait has once again been long, but now it’s nearly over.
During a celebratory event for the Final Fantasy Franchise’s 25th anniversary, the game’s producer – Yoshinori Kitase – had something special to say. It was in Japanese, of course, but we’ve gotten our hands on a translation. It reads:
“We are hard at work on Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, so please look forward to that. In addition, with regards to the long awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake [Part 2]… there will be more information… this year if we can,”
And just to confirm it all, a viewer asked him to clarify. The response was: “Well yeah. We just started the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII, so we want to celebrate and get fans excited, so within the next 12 months we want to share some information. Look forward to more information!”
It’s a bit of an impromptu info drop, but an info drop nonetheless! That agonizing wait that Final Fantasy 7 fans have had to sit though will exist no longer. …Okay well maybe a bit longer, but the fact that they know that info’s coming should make it a bit more bearable.
