Hollow Knight: Silksong Might Be Coming Out Soon
Hey, Hollow Knight: Silksong is still a thing. It also happens to be a thing that might just, finally, be coming out soon. Or at least it might be coming out sometime this year. For how long I’ve been waiting, I’ll take it.
According to a GOG page that was found on mobile, Hollow Knight: Silksong is set to launch in 2022. Of course, this isn’t a confirmed date, and plans do change. They are clearly in no rush to release the game.
With that said, I really, really want this to be true. Hollow Knight is only one of the best games ever created. How could I know be hyped for a sequel? It has been frustrating to go for so long with little to no information, but It will all be worth it. At least, I hope so. Team Cherry, the devs behind Hollow Knight and Hollow Knight: Silkson, have proven that they know what they are doing.
It is always rough when your excited about a game and devs just seem reluctant to give out any information. However, the devs are still working hard, and they are working to deliver an experience that lives up to expectations. They have now released a critically acclaimed darling of a game, and they now have mighty expectations to meet. If being silent and focusing on their work is what gets it done, then I can live with that.
It’s also important to remember that the pandemic has slowed productions on even the largest studios. While disappointing, it is important to give the devs a break here. The pandemic has made things harder for everyone right now, and I’m content to wait it out as devs learn to adapt. Hopefully, all game devs continue to adjust and create excellent work.
