Ready or Not’s January Update Introduces A Ton of New Content
Since its release, Ready or Not has been highly praised, but it has been heavily criticized for some controversial elements. Despite the criticism, the game’s strategy and tactical elements remind fans of SWAT, an iconic video game series. In January, the developers, VOID Interactive, have officially released the January content update. As this is the first major content update, the team didn’t dare disappoint. As a result, they have introduced new weapons, maps and much more. Ready or Not is available on PC via Steam as an Early Access title for $39.99USD.
The minute-long trailer accompanying the finer details gives players an insight into some new changes. It also shows off tense gunfights and situations that players will encounter. From the patch notes, it is clear that the developers listened to feedback!
In the update, Valley, Fast Food and Penthouse are all new maps which have been added. Furthermore, there are new weapon descriptions, Vivox Integration and working mirrors. Besides that, there are a ton of major and minor changes made to the game including bug fixes, graphics and other quality of life improvements.
Performance is another aspect that the developers tackled in this update, by improving loading screen performance and reducing VRam usage. There were also changes to the networking system allowing for Host Migration and optimized network performance.
Some of the new weapons include the R7 Launcher, SLR 47, BCM MK1 and MK.16. Updates and fixes were made to some of the other weapons including the M4A1, MPX, UMP45 and M9 Pistol.
