NHL 22 IIHF Patch Introduces Playable Women’s Teams And More

NHL 22 is the latest iteration in the long standing series that gives players the opportunity to vie for the Stanley Cup. NHL 22, published by Electronic Arts, released in October 2021 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. In its latest update, NHL 22 January IIHF, the developers released playable National Women’s Team and IIHF Men’s Championship team. There were also other content changes made in the game.

As of now, players can use some of their favorite Men’s and Women’s IIHF teams through an authentic World Championship experience. Additionally, these teams will be available in Play Now, Online Versus, Threes Now and Offline/Online Shootouts. In its trailer, the team showed off some of the women reacting to the latest addition. Some of the pros, including Marie-Phillip Poulin, Hilary Knight and Natalie Spooner were excited. They were also happy to have younger generations play as women in the games.

Besides this change, there were other general and quality of life improvements made. Various additions were made to the game’s Art and other changes were made to Gameplay, World of Chel, Franchise Mode and Be a Pro. Also, these fixes would ensure players have the best experience possible as they play with World Championship teams.

Additionally, NHL 22, developed using the FrostBite Engine, is one of the most important iterations in the series. It introduced Superstar X-Factors, visual upgrades and much more to the franchise. Moreover, players will be able to take their teams and pros to the Stanley Cup and World Championships as they vie for glory.
