God of War Gets a Patch Fix Update

Patch Fix Helps With Various Previous Issues for God of War

It’s fair to say that God of War’s release onto PC has been highly anticipated and desired. And it’s been highly praised for its combat ability, environment, and a lot of other features that are part of the game itself.

However, sometimes, like with a lot of games, there is a need for some quick fixes. God of War has been given a patch fix, called Update 1.0.4. This patch, surprisingly, does not only apply to the PC but also to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 with playback compatibility.

What’s more important is the changes that have been applied to the game, thanks to the patch. There are additional logging features in case there are game crashes, and there have been fixes for graphics driver crashes. There’s also been the fix of a crash that would happen sometimes at client shutdown, and fixing the display mode where ultra-wide monitors would instead play on window mode instead of full-screen mode.

More importantly, though, there have been two major fixes in this patch. Should Atreus become unresponsive or frozen, it’s now possible to either restart the game, or go back to the latest game checkpoint, and Atreus will be reset.

Moreover, there has been a DLSS Sharpening slider that’s been added to the game features. This is a boon and a much-needed feature for those who have found that it’s been too high for their screens.  Thanks to this patch those who have been having some screen flickering in the past will be able to fix it by simply lowering the slider to the correct position. This also means that players can adjust the game to make the best image clarity for what screen they have.

This patch is available now and can be downloaded onto PC, PS4, or PS5.
