Total War: Warhammer III Brings More Chaos with Slaanesh Trailer

Chaos unleashes once more into Total War: Warhammer III. Today Total War shows off the Slaanesh faction in Warhammer III with a new trailer. The trailer, accompanied with a press release, aimed to highlight units, playstyle, and story elements. The brutal, yet refined and elegant, trailer shows off everything that makes the hordes of Slaanesh their sinister and sexy selves.  

“Submit to Slaanesh,” the voice of Arch-Tempter N’Kari, the legendary Lord for this faction, finishes off the trailer. His voice-over sets the tone for the faction itself. Slaanesh, being the Chaos God of indulgence, pleasure, and earthly gratification, has their virtues reflected in their units. As seen in the trailer, the daemons of Slaanesh are fast, vicious, and confusing to look at. They are both beautiful and terrible at the same time and the trailer highlights these physical features. 

“An embodiment of their patron god, the daemons of Slaanesh are vicious, gracious and beguiling,” said the press release about the faction roster. 

The units of Slaanesh, according to the press release, are focused on their speed. Using hit and run tactics, the daemon hordes of the Chaos God aim to break enemy ranks quickly. Additionally, separating enemy units and destroying them is a core part of the Slaanesh army’s tactics. 

On top of in battle mechanics, the press release, also details some of the campaign map mechanics. The release mentions “On the campaign map, factions of Slaanesh strive to spread the Dark Prince’s hedonistic message at every turn.” 

Hinting at mechanics like vassalizing other factions and chaos cults, the press release, introduces mechanics players will see upon the full release of the faction. 

Luckily, the Slaanesh faction is launching February 17th, 2022.  Players don’t have to wait that long for some more Chaos in their Warhammer III.
