Pirates of Gravitae Flies onto Steam Early Access

Avast, Ye Salty Space-Dogs

Take to the skies in your very own rocket ship. Get ready to dogfight with other scurvy space pirates in Innerverse Games’ space fighting rogue-like Pirates of Gravitae. Today, Innerverse announced that Pirates of Gravitae is coming to Steam Early Access in the Spring of 2022. A press release about the game shares more details about gameplay and the idea of Pirates of Gravitae.

POG Feature

The game is an idea that stemmed from the mind of solo developer Taylan Kadayifcioglu. They claim, in the release, that his “children were so upset at the lack of rocket propulsion on pirate ships that they demanded he do something about it.”

Thus, Pirates of Gravitae was born. Featuring intense 2.5D action, the rogue-like takes place in the Neo Carribeans  where players will construct their own ship through a run-based campaign. Players will be able to customize their own ships with new weapons, abilities and crew that will provide new ways to swash-buckle through the skies.

Earlier this month, Innerverse also released a launch trailer.

The launch trailer demonstrates the combat and physics of the dogfighting. Additionally, the trailer shows off some of the different weapons, abilities, and variable weather. Players can see the trailer’s ship slicing through a storm, firing cannons and smashing enemy ships. At the same time, you can see the ship docked in port with the upgrade screen available.

The campaign story is available on Innerverse’s website and features an alternate version of history. In this history, pirates are the good guys using the newly discovered “gravitae” to pilot their ships and bring down an evil corporation.

Pirates of Gravitae will be available on Steam Early Access in 2022. In addition, Innerverse has said in the press release, that they will roll out content for the game next year.
