Path of Exile Developers Provide Update on Next Expansion And More
Path of Exile is a popular action role playing game that originally released in 2013. Since then, it has released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2017 and 2019 respectively. The game has often been lauded as the leader in the ARPG genre, overtaking the likes of Diablo. Path of Exile is known for its difficult but expansive and in-depth systems and engaging content. The developers have provided an update on Path of Exile heading into 2022 as the year comes to an end.
The developers indicate that they are planning to release the 3.17 Expansion sometime in February 2022. As a result, the Scourge League will be extended for two weeks. Fans of the game can look forward to more details via a livestream prior to the launch. Additionally, as usual, there will be juicy Twitch Drops for viewers.
The team confirmed that the two-week delay was to ensure that its New Zealand team would be able to enjoy the holidays and recharge for the year ahead. There will be confirmation on the dates early in the upcoming year. The ‘Hard Mode’, which has been highly anticipated, will be tested sometime after the launch of 3.17.
Current enthusiasts can try the Atlas Invasion that will continue for a few more days along with the Delirium Everywhere Event commencing this weekend. Fans can check out more information on this event here.
Path of Exile: Scourge was the game’s latest content drop which released in October 2021. It introduced a ton of content along with upgrades to various features including the passive skill tree.
