Chef RPG Cooking Up on Kickstarter

Something’s Cooking

Have you ever wanted to play the role of a chef? Getting ingredients, making recipes, cooking food. Well soon, you will be able too. World 2 Studio’s in development game Chef RPG has amassed 250% of its funding goal on Kickstarter and is now in the final length of time in its crowdfunding campaign. The game, whose goal was $40,000 USD, has gained over $85,000 in just three weeks. An indication of the excitement players hold for this game.

Chef RPG’s Kickstarter provides more details about the game. Players will take on the role of a new chef who has arrived in the town of Le Sequoia. You will need to hunt, gather, and purchase ingredients while also developing new recipes. You, as the player character, are also able to befriend the many NPC’s of Le Sequoia.

Furthermore, the Kickstarter features a launch trailer. The trailer shows off the pixel art of the game as well as core gameplay. Players can be seen, gathering mushrooms, fishing, and hunting crabs. On top of this, the player is seen designing their own restaurant, cooking, and talking with various NPC’s.

Chef RPG is said to be, by the Kickstarter, inspired by games like Stardew Valley and Restaurant City as well as by Gordon Ramsey’s Great Escape TV show. The game boasts a very open style of gameplay. The sort of RPG where every decision is up to the player.

“This becomes a game about YOU, and what kind of chef you want to be,” said developer Noah, also known as Pixel Architect on Youtube, on the Kickstarter.

The game is launching in 2023 on Steam and Nintendo Switch. Currently, there are no plans as of yet to expand it to other consoles. What kind of chef will you become?
