Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Martyr Announces a New DLC Class

The new class is the Inquisitor with Adepta Sororitas

NeocoreGames has announced today a new DLC called Sororitas for Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor-Martyr. With the Sororias DLC,  there will be a new playable class with the Sororitas background in 2022. This action RPG is set in a dystopian world and follows the quiet war of members of the Inquisition. Before, it was possible to play the game as a campaign before coming back for sandbox gameplay. Now with this newest option, it will be possible to add a new dimension to its gameplay.

The Adepeta Soriritas background, which those who have played prior may be familiar with, explained as the Sisters of Battle, devoted to the Emperor. They are known for using blessed blades and neural Whips, but they can also use their faith as a means of combat. This DLC will also offer new class mechanics and item types, which is sure to thrill fans and players alike of the game. Apparently, Inquisitors with the Adepta Sororitas background will be able to use Acts of Faith to buff their allies or strike down their enemies, using their faith-based powers to make combat more of a thrill. And, too, players will be able to further customize this character class with their Sacred Rite passive skills, and with enough faith, have the ability to transform into their Embodied Saint form. While this is not a Dungeons and Dragons setting by any means, this class in particular sounds similar in principle to what a paladin is, or a cleric: a class able to offer physical or faith-based means of attack, with the ability to bluff themselves or their allies, given the right circumstance.  Or this may sound familiar to those who play MMOs, as there are very similar classes that offer the same thing.

This isn’t to say that’s what NeocoreGames is offering for the Sororitas DLC. But it is enough to make anyone curious, and may even be more enticing with those with a tabletop rpg or MMORG background.

This release will first come to PC, then onto Xbox and PlayStation 4 in 2022.
