Transient: Extended Edition Coming to Consoles Next Month

Watch Your Back, Halo Infinite

When you are making a video game and you like two very different styles of worlds, what do you do? You don’t choose between them, heavens no. You mix them together. Transient is what you get when you cross the cyberpunk genre with Lovecraftian themes. Transient: Extended Edition will be coming out next month on consoles.

You’ve played games with worlds steeped in cyber enhancements and technological wonders. You have played games with interdimensional horrors that twist your psyche. But have you played both at once?

Transient: Extended Edition

In 2020, Transient was released on Steam. In this game, you explore a near-futuristic city, with all the neon and digital amenities you can dream of. There is also a deeper, darker world that threatens to tear you apart. Using the cyber features of your world, you are able to connect these dimensions.

Transient comes from Stormling Studios and Iceberg Interactive. They have worked together in the past to bring fans Conarium and The Darkness Within 1 and 2, all of which are also inspired by the work of H.P. Lovecraft. They seem to have this cosmic horror thing on lock.

On December 8th, Transient: Extended Edition will be out on Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. It is unclear if there is extra content to “extend” this game, but it will include HDR support, more achievements, and better controller support. These features will be coming to the PC version of the game for free at a later date. If you want to play Transient on PC, it is currently on sale for 50% off until the end of November.
