Now Two League of Legend Games Can Be Found on the Nintendo Switch
League of Legends has been going forward with a lot of projects lately, bringing itself into the spotlight. There has been the Netflix series, Arcane, showing off the world setting and back story for some of their characters; the first collaboration for InnerSloth’s with skins for Among Us, Magic: The Gathering has Secret Lair drops coming up and now… there are two League of Legends games in the game universe, released on, November 16th, 2021 on the Nintendo Switch.
Called Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, and Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story, these are both published under the Riot Forge name. But both have been worked on by different indie studios with Airship Syndicate creating Ruined King, and Choice Provisions creating HexTech. These contain stories about the world of League of Legends, Runeterra, and the champions within. Ruined King is a turn-based RPG, while Hextech Mayhem is a rhythm runner. So if one game genre doesn’t appeal to you, then the other might! This is all part of League of Legends’ promotion of their animated series on Netflix, Arcane. And by the sounds of it, there will be more games that will be coming onto the Nintendo Switch as part of the promotion. These two games in particular are only a start of what should be games filled with League of Legends lore and characters. Whether these will stay in the store or be a permanent fixture has yet to be seen. It is great though to see the promotion and recognition of indie studios on Nintendo’s part, and how they’re being included in the Nintendo store for all to see and purchase from.
For those interested in purchasing, Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is $29.99, while Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story is $9.99. Both can be purchased through the Nintendo Online store now via a Nintendo Account.
